Toyota is perhaps the most successful Japanese

Toyota is perhaps the most successful Japanese brand that penetrated the international auto market, including the US. It is Japan’s largest car manufacturer and the second largest in the world. This itself speaks of Toyota’s technical expertise in building cars of superior engineering, highly advanced parts and components and high class design that placed it among the best in the industry. Its more than 60-year tradition of excellence and innovation is seen in every Toyota vehicle you see on the road today.

Various Toyota models have gained wide recognition and praise in the automotive market. Among these is the Toyota Corolla, the world’s highest selling car. This car was inspired by Toyota’s dream to make a “people’s car,” something everyone would like to have. Since its launch in 1966, almost 28 million units of Toyota Corolla have been produced and sold not only in Japan but worldwide; thus, realizing Toyota’s dream. The Corolla’s success only proved Toyota’s abilities in designing, manufacturing and marketing a car that would meet international standards. It also clearly showed the people’s trust and confidence to the vehicle model and to Toyota itself as a car manufacturer.

Another remarkable car from Toyota is the Toyota Corona, which endured the industry’s tough competition for 43 years. It was launched in Japan in 1957 but it was only in 1964 that Toyota began exporting the Corona to the United States. It was an instant success among the Americans primarily because of its American body styling. Through the years of its production, it went through a lot of changes to meet the American’s changing needs and wants as well. The Toyota Corona has been restyled many times and it gained bigger size and more luxurious features, too.

In 1997, Toyota introduced the world’s first mass-produced hybrid vehicle, the Toyota Prius. It was followed by the Toyota Highlander in 2001. The two vehicles used a gas-electric engine that proved to be more efficient, more powerful and more economical. It decreased environmental impacts as as the hybrid system reduces fuel consumption and fuel emissions. With these innovative models, Toyota has only proven it can combine social responsibility with their passion for building efficient means of transportation.
